Ingredients

Steps

  1. Mix the wheat flour, cooking oil, and margarine to make the greasing paste, then stir until evenly combined.
  2. Brush a 24 cm round tin with the paste, then set it aside.
  3. Put the eggs, sugar, vanilla powder, and emulsifier into a bowl.
  4. Add the wheat flour, cornstarch, and milk powder, sifting them in so there are no lumps.
  5. Start beating on low speed so the flour does not fly about, then raise to maximum speed and beat for about 10 minutes until the batter is pale, risen, thick, and holds a ribbon.
  6. Add the sweetened condensed milk and the melted, cooled margarine.
  7. Fold gently from the bottom up until no melted margarine is left settling in the batter.
  8. Take about three tablespoons of the batter, mix it with the cocoa powder, then stir until combined to use for the pattern.
  9. Add the pandan paste to the remaining batter, then stir until evenly combined.
  10. Pour the batter into the tin, then tap the tin several times so the trapped air can escape.
  11. Drizzle the chocolate batter over the surface, then swirl a pattern into it.
  12. Bake in a preheated oven at 150 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat for about 50 minutes until the cake is done.
  13. Test with a skewer to make sure the cake is done, then take the tin out of the oven.
  14. Turn the cake out of the tin, let it cool, then slice as you like.
