Ingredients

Steps

  1. Prepare a bowl, add 4 eggs, 2 egg yolks, 100 g granulated sugar, and 1 tsp emulsifier.
  2. Beat at maximum speed until the batter is risen, thick, and holds a trail.
  3. After about 10 minutes of beating, when the mixer trail no longer sinks easily, turn off the mixer.
  4. Add 100 g wheat flour, 20 g cornstarch, and 20 g milk powder, sifting them in.
  5. Fold briefly first so the flour does not fly about.
  6. Turn the mixer on at the lowest speed and beat for about 30 seconds, just until evenly combined.
  7. Continue folding the batter with a spatula to make sure it is evenly combined.
  8. Add 1 tsp vanilla, 120 g melted margarine, and 1 tsp pandan paste.
  9. Fold slowly from the bottom up until evenly combined and there is no pool of margarine left at the bottom.
  10. Grease a 20 cm round tin thinly with margarine, dust it with wheat flour, then tip out the excess flour.
  11. Line the tin with baking paper.
  12. Pour the batter into the tin.
  13. Tap the tin a few times, then pop the air bubbles with a skewer.
  14. Bake at 150 degrees Celsius using top and bottom heat for about 40 minutes until the cake is done.
  15. After about 40 minutes of baking, do a skewer test, then take the tin out of the oven.
  16. Loosen the edges and turn the cake out of the tin, let it cool completely, then peel off the baking paper.
  17. Prepare a bowl and add 200 ml cold liquid whipping cream.
  18. Beat at maximum speed for about 3 minutes until it whips into a cream.
  19. Split the cake into two even layers using a thread or a knife.
  20. Spread cream over the cake, then level and neaten it.
  21. Cover the cream with the other cake layer, then spread cream over the top of the cake.
  22. Sprinkle with grated cheese, then neaten and level it.
  23. Slice the cake and serve.
