Ingredients

Steps

  1. Grease an 18 cm round tin thinly with margarine.
  2. Dust the tin with wheat flour, then tap and turn the tin so the flour coats it evenly.
  3. In a bowl, add 120 g granulated sugar, 3 eggs, 1 egg yolk, and 1 tsp emulsifier.
  4. Mix on maximum speed for about 10 minutes until the batter is pale, fluffy, thick, and holds a ribbon, then turn off the mixer.
  5. Sift 125 g medium protein wheat flour and 20 g milk powder into the batter.
  6. Stir briefly so the flour does not fly around, then mix on the lowest speed for about 30 seconds until evenly combined.
  7. Continue folding with a spatula to make sure the flour is evenly mixed in.
  8. Add 120 g melted margarine that has cooled, 1/2 tsp vanilla, and 1/2 tsp pandan paste.
  9. Fold gently from the bottom up until evenly combined with no pool of margarine left at the bottom.
  10. Pour the batter into the tin, level it with a spoon or spatula, then tap the tin a few times so trapped air can escape.
  11. Preheat the oven for about 10 minutes, then bake at 150 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat for about 30 minutes or until the cake is done.
  12. For the cream, beat 100 g margarine with 30 g powdered sugar on maximum speed for about 20 minutes until fluffy and pale.
  13. Do a skewer test on the cake; if no batter sticks to it, take the tin out of the oven, then turn the cake out of the tin once it is warm.
  14. Once the cake is completely cool, spread it with the cream, then top with grated cheese and chocolate sprinkles.
  15. Slice the cake and serve.
