Steps

  1. Put 250 g all-purpose flour, 20 g icing sugar and 150 g margarine into a bowl, then rub them together until the mixture looks like coarse sand.
  2. Add 2 egg yolks, then stir the dough until evenly combined.
  3. Add 2 tbsp iced water, then stir and knead briefly by hand until the dough comes together and is smooth.
  4. Grease the tart tins thinly with margarine, then take about 30 g of dough and press it into each tin until the thickness is even.
  5. Prick the base of each shell with a fork; this recipe makes about 15 pies.
  6. Bake on the middle rack of a preheated oven for about 15 minutes until the shells are two thirds baked, then take them out and set them aside.
  7. Put 140 g dark cooking chocolate, 40 ml cooking oil and 50 g margarine into a heatproof bowl.
  8. Bring water to a boil in a pot over medium heat, set the bowl of chocolate over it, melt it, then stir until evenly combined.
  9. Put 2 eggs and 160 g granulated sugar into a bowl, then stir until evenly combined and the sugar has dissolved.
  10. Add the melted chocolate mixture, then stir the batter until evenly combined.
  11. Sift 100 g all-purpose flour and 25 g cocoa powder into the batter, then stir until evenly combined and the batter feels heavy.
  12. Spoon the brownie batter into the pie shells, not filling them completely since the brownie will rise a little while baking.
  13. Decorate the tops with toppings to taste such as chocolate chips, sliced almonds and Cadbury chocolate.
  14. Bake on the middle rack of a preheated oven at 175 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat for about 30 minutes until the brownies are baked, risen and cracked.
  15. Take the tray out of the oven, let the brownie pies cool, then turn them out of the tins.
