PIE Crust Ingredients:

BROWNIE Ingredients:

Steps

  1. Put 40 g powdered sugar, 100 g margarine, and 1 egg yolk into a bowl, then mix for about 2 minutes on medium speed until evenly combined.
  2. Sift 210 g medium-protein wheat flour and 20 g milk powder into the mixture.
  3. Stir until evenly combined, then carry on kneading by hand until the dough comes together.
  4. Test the dough by rolling a piece into a ball, and if it is still too dry add about 1 tbsp of ice water.
  5. Grease the pie tins thinly with margarine, then press the dough into them and flatten it neatly.
  6. Prick the surface of the dough with a fork so the crust does not puff up while baking.
  7. Preheat the oven for about 10 minutes, then bake at 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat for about 15 minutes until the crust is half-baked.
  8. Take the tin out of the oven and set the crusts aside.
  9. Put 150 g dark cooking chocolate, 60 g margarine, and 30 ml cooking oil into a bowl.
  10. Set the bowl over a pot of hot water on medium heat until the chocolate and margarine melt and combine, then set aside.
  11. Put 2 medium eggs and 160 g granulated sugar into a bowl, then stir until the sugar has fully dissolved so the top comes out shiny.
  12. Add the melted chocolate mixture while it is still warm, then stir until evenly combined.
  13. Sift 100 g medium-protein wheat flour and 40 g cocoa powder into the batter, then stir until evenly combined.
  14. Pour the batter into the pie crusts.
  15. Add toppings to taste, such as chocolate chips.
  16. Preheat the oven for about 10 minutes, then bake at 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat for 30 minutes.
  17. Switch to bottom heat only and carry on baking for about 10 minutes until the brownies are done.
  18. Do a skewer test, and once it no longer comes out wet, take the tin out of the oven.
  19. Let it cool completely, release the pie brownies by pushing up from the base of the tin, then slice and serve.
