Ingredients

Steps

  1. Peel, wash, and cut 250 g of pumpkin into small pieces, then steam for about 10 minutes over medium heat until soft.
  2. Mash the pumpkin while still hot together with one sachet of sweetened condensed milk.
  3. Put 5 eggs, 165 g granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of emulsifier into a bowl.
  4. Beat at maximum speed for about 12 minutes until the batter is risen, thick, and holds a ribbon.
  5. Sift 180 g of wheat flour into the batter, then mix for about 20 seconds on the lowest speed.
  6. Fold with a spatula to make sure the flour and batter are fully combined.
  7. Add the mashed pumpkin, then stir again until evenly combined.
  8. Add 150 g of melted margarine, then fold gently from the bottom up until no liquid is left settled underneath.
  9. Brush a 24 by 10 cm tin that is 7 cm deep with margarine and line it with baking paper, pour in the batter, then tap the tin a few times.
  10. Add as much topping as you like.
  11. Bake on the middle rack at 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat until a skewer comes out clean.
  12. Let it cool, turn the cake out of the tin, peel off the baking paper, then slice and serve.
