- Tuang kembali larutan gula merah ke dalam panci dan masukkan kembali daun pandannya.

Ingredients
Steps
- Steam 1 kg glutinous rice that has been washed, soaked for at least 3 hours, and drained, together with 1 pandan leaf.
- After about 20 minutes, stir the rice so it cooks evenly.
- Continue steaming for about another 20 minutes until the rice is cooked and soft, then turn off the heat.
- Put 200 gr granulated sugar, 3 pandan leaves, 1 teaspoon salt, 400 gr palm sugar chopped small, and 300 ml water into a pot.
- Cook until it boils and the sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally so the bottom does not burn.
- Strain the palm sugar syrup.
- Pour the strained syrup back into the pot and return the pandan leaves.
- Add 1 litre of medium-thick coconut milk.
- Cook over medium heat until it boils, stirring constantly so the coconut milk does not split, then turn off the heat.
- Transfer the cooked glutinous rice into a larger pot.
- Pour the boiling coconut milk and palm sugar mixture over the rice.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the coconut milk reduces and soaks into the rice.
- Check for doneness by pressing the rice with a piece of plastic; when it no longer sticks, the rice is done.
- Brush the mould thinly with cooking oil, or use a tin lined with plastic.
- While still hot, press the rice straight into the mould.
- Compact the rice firmly with a spoon or spatula.
- Once cool, press the mould so the rice loosens, then turn the wajik out.
