Steps

Steps were generated from the video narration. Watch the video if unsure.

  1. Put 600 ml coconut milk, 2 pandan leaves, plus 1/2 teaspoon salt into a pot.
  2. Cook while stirring until evenly blended as well as boiling, which makes the cake richer plus longer keeping.
  3. Pour the coconut milk into a bowl, then stir until completely cold, setting it aside.
  4. Set out 50 ml warm water, add 1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast plus 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, then stir until evenly blended.
  5. Cover it, then rest for 5 minutes until the yeast foams up, which shows it is active and ready to use.
  6. In a fresh bowl put 3 eggs, then add the granulated sugar.
  7. Beat for 5 minutes on the lowest speed until the sugar dissolves, or use a whisk instead.
  8. Take 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, then add 1/2 kg low-protein all-purpose flour in stages.
  9. Pour in the boiled, cooled coconut milk in stages alongside the flour, folding it gently first, then beating on low speed until evenly combined.
  10. Add the melted margarine, two packs of sweetened condensed milk, vanilla paste to taste, plus the activated yeast.
  11. Beat briefly on low speed, then finish with a whisk to make sure everything is fully combined.
  12. Cover the bowl with a cloth, then rest it for 60 minutes until the batter rises.
  13. After 60 minutes uncover it, then whisk it so the air trapped in the batter escapes.
  14. Divide the batter into two parts, then stir pandan paste into one of them.
  15. Turn the stove to the lowest heat, set the pukis pan on the stove, then heat it for 5 minutes.
  16. Once hot brush margarine inside the molds, then fill each one only two thirds full.
  17. Bake for 13 minutes over the lowest heat until the surface of the cakes is dry.
  18. Open the pan, then take the cakes out.
  19. Bake the pandan batter the same way, filling the molds two thirds full, baking them for 13 minutes.
