  1. Put 100 ml of water, 1 tsp of salt, and 150 grams of palm sugar into a wok.
  2. Cook over medium heat while stirring until combined and boiling.
  3. Once it boils, add 200 grams of half-mature grated coconut, stirring until thoroughly combined.
  4. Transfer the coconut filling to a bowl, then set it aside to cool.
  5. Put 300 ml of coconut milk, 1/2 tsp of salt, and 1 pandan leaf into a wok.
  6. Stir the coconut milk until it boils.
  7. Pour the coconut milk into a bowl, then stir it until it cools down.
  8. Put 275 grams of white glutinous rice flour into a bowl, then pour in the cooled coconut milk in stages.
  9. Pour in the rest of the coconut milk, then knead by hand until the dough comes together smoothly.
  10. Roll the dough into balls, then press a small hollow in the center of each.
  11. Spoon in a little coconut filling, then close the dough back over it.
  12. Arrange the cakes in a steamer lined with banana leaf.
  13. Set the steamer over already boiling water.
  14. Cover and steam for 20 minutes, lifting the lid for 5 seconds every 3 minutes so the cakes do not spread.
  15. After 20 minutes, once the cakes are cooked, take them out of the steamer.
  16. Put 350 ml of coconut milk into a non-stick pan, then dissolve 2 tbsp of rice flour in a little of it.
  17. Add 2 tbsp of granulated sugar plus 1/2 tsp of salt, then cook while stirring until thickened and bubbling.
  18. Pour the coconut sauce over the cakes and serve.
