  2. Smash and finely chop 5 cloves of garlic, then finely chop the preserved radish and the dried shrimp.
  3. Heat a wok with 2 tbsp of vegetable oil, then saute the garlic until fragrant and lift it out.
  4. Add another 2 tbsp of vegetable oil, add the chopped preserved radish, then stir-fry for about 3 minutes.
  5. Toast the chopped dried shrimp in the wok for about 3 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Add the sauteed preserved radish and the fried garlic to the dried shrimp.
  7. Season with 1/2 tsp mushroom bouillon, 1/4 tsp pepper, and 1 tbsp sweet soy sauce, then stir-fry for about 2 minutes.
  8. Add 1 tbsp of fried shallots, then turn off the heat and remove from the pan.
  9. Combine 200 g rice flour, 40 g tapioca starch, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tsp sugar until even.
  10. Pour in 950 ml of coconut milk gradually while stirring so no lumps form, then strain the batter.
  11. Pour 200 ml of batter into an 18 cm round non-stick tin or one lined with banana leaf.
  12. Steam the first layer for about 5 to 8 minutes over medium heat.
  13. Stir the batter before pouring again, add the next 200 ml, then repeat the steaming process until the batter is used up.
  14. Turn off the heat, take it out of the steamer, and let it cool to room temperature for about 1 hour.
  15. Cut the cake as you like, then spread the dried shrimp topping over the whole surface.
