  1. Cut the ripe plantains into 4-5 pieces depending on their size.
  2. Squeeze 500 g grated cassava using a straining cloth to release the liquid, set aside (discard the top water, keep the settled starch sediment).
  3. Mix the squeezed cassava with 125 g sugar, 150 ml coconut milk, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tsp plain agar-agar, and strawberry paste, mix well.
  4. Mix the settled cassava starch into the batter, stir until combined.
  5. Brush 5 cm-diameter, 4 cm-tall molds lightly with oil, fill with about 40-45 grams of cassava batter, add a piece of banana, press and level.
  6. Steam the filled molds over medium-low heat for about 5 minutes until cooked.
  7. Remove and let cool or stay warm, then take out of the molds.
  8. Steam 150 g grated coconut with a little salt and pandan leaf for 10 minutes.
  9. Run a comb around the cake edges to release them easily from the molds, then roll the edges in the steamed grated coconut.
