Ingredients

Custard Sauce Ingredients:

Steps

  1. Put the plain jelly powder, sugar, and cocoa powder into a bowl, then stir until evenly combined so the jelly powder does not clump when the liquid goes in.
  2. Add the salt and the chocolate sweetened condensed milk.
  3. Pour in the liquid milk, then stir until evenly combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into a pot, straining it first if any lumps remain.
  5. Cook over medium heat while stirring constantly until it boils, then turn off the heat.
  6. Stir for a moment until the steam has died down.
  7. Pour the mixture into moulds or cups, leaving a little space on top for the sauce.
  8. Leave the pudding to set, then chill it in the fridge for about one hour.
  9. For the sauce, put the sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla paste into a pot.
  10. Pour in the liquid milk, then stir until evenly combined.
  11. Cook over low heat while stirring constantly until it comes to a boil.
  12. Once the mixture starts to steam, take a little of it and mix it into the lightly beaten egg yolk, stirring until combined.
  13. Pour the egg mixture back into the pot, then carry on cooking while stirring constantly until it boils, thickens, and bubbles.
  14. Turn off the heat and let the sauce cool completely.
  15. Pour enough of the cooled sauce over the pudding, then add toppings to taste.
