Ingredients

Steps

  1. Grease a 24 cm flower-shaped pan thinly with margarine, dust it lightly with wheat flour, then tip out the excess flour.
  2. Put 4 eggs, 250 g blended granulated sugar, and 1/2 tsp salt into a bowl, then stir until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add 50 ml sweetened condensed milk, 200 ml pandan juice made from 200 ml water and 10 pandan leaves, and 600 ml medium-thick coconut milk, then stir until evenly combined.
  4. Add pandan paste or green food coloring as needed if the color is not green enough, stir again until even, then set aside.
  5. Sift 400 g wheat flour into another bowl.
  6. Pour the liquid mixture into the flour a little at a time while stirring until evenly combined.
  7. Strain the batter so it is smooth and silky.
  8. Add 80 g melted margarine, then stir again until evenly combined.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  10. Preheat the oven for about 10 minutes, then bake on the bottom rack at 170 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat for about 60 minutes.
  11. After 20 minutes, once the top has begun to firm up, take the cake out, sprinkle it with 2 tbsp sesame seeds, then return it to the oven and bake until done.
  12. Do a skewer test, and if the batter clinging to it is no longer wet the cake is done, then take the pan out of the oven.
  13. Let the cake cool to warm before turning it out of the pan so it does not fall apart.
  14. Once completely cool, slice the cake with a sharp knife or a plastic scraper and serve.
