  1. Soak 1 liter of glutinous rice for 2 hours, then drain the water.
  2. Put the glutinous rice into a wok, then pour in 780 ml of thick coconut milk.
  3. Add 3/4 tsp of salt and 2 pandan leaves that have been cut and tied into a knot.
  4. Keep stirring the rice and do not leave it because it burns easily, then cook until the coconut milk reduces and is absorbed.
  5. Once there is no liquid left, turn off the heat.
  6. Move the half-cooked rice into a preheated steamer, then steam for 20 to 30 minutes over medium-high heat until cooked.
  7. Turn off the heat and set it aside to cool so it is easier to wrap.
  8. Dip 20 banana leaves of 20x20 cm into boiling water for just a few seconds so they do not tear easily.
  9. Roughly slice 8 cloves of shallot, 5 cloves of garlic, and 5 red curly chillies, then blend them with a little vegetable oil.
  10. Drain 90 g of dried shrimp that has been soaked for 1 hour, then chop it fairly finely.
  11. Heat a wok with 2 tbsp of vegetable oil, then add the blended spice paste.
  12. Add 4 kaffir lime leaves, then saute until the paste is fragrant.
  13. Add the chopped dried shrimp.
  14. Season with 1 tsp mushroom bouillon, 1/3 tsp white pepper, 1.5 tbsp sugar, and 1/2 tsp salt.
  15. Add 2 tbsp of fried shallots, then turn off the heat.
  16. Take a banana leaf, shape it into a cone, then fill it with 1.5 tbsp of the cooked glutinous rice.
  17. Add 1/2 to 1 tsp of the dried shrimp filling, cover it with more rice, then wrap it up.
  18. Grill the wrapped parcels on a grill or non-stick pan until the banana leaf smells fragrant, then serve.
