  1. Blend pandan leaves and suji leaves with a little water to make the natural green colouring.
  2. For the natural pink colouring, prepare red dragon fruit and blend it.
  3. Prepare 100 g of ginger, then blend it with a little water.
  4. Heat a pot with about 1.5 litres of water, then add the blended ginger.
  5. Add 50 g palm sugar, 130 g granulated sugar, and 6 pandan leaves that have been torn so their aroma comes out.
  6. Add 1/2 tsp salt, then cook over low heat for about 20 to 30 minutes.
  7. For the peanut filling, dry roast 50 g of peeled peanuts until cooked.
  8. Grind the peanuts in a grinder.
  9. Add 35 g of shaved palm sugar and 1 tbsp peanut butter, then mix until you can roll it into balls.
  10. Skim off the foam on the surface of the ginger soup.
  11. Taste the ginger soup, and once it is right turn off the heat.
  12. For the dough, prepare three bowls each holding 50 g of glutinous rice flour.
  13. Add 5 g of tapioca starch and a little salt to each bowl.
  14. For the uncoloured dough, add 40 ml of boiling hot water, then stir.
  15. Knead until the dough can be shaped, then cover it with a cloth so it does not dry out.
  16. For the green dough, add 2 tsp of the pandan and suji juice, then add 40 ml of boiling hot water, because water that is not boiling makes the dough hard to shape.
  17. For the pink dough, add 2 tsp of dragon fruit juice, then add 40 ml of boiling hot water while stirring.
  18. Roll the dough into small balls, filling some with the peanut filling and leaving others plain and smaller.
  19. Bring a pot of water to a boil, then add the shaped rice balls.
  20. Cook until the balls float, which means they are done.
  21. Prepare a bowl already filled with the ginger soup so the balls do not stick to each other, then add the rice balls.
  22. It is best to boil the rice balls only right before eating, because boiling them ahead makes the texture less pleasant.
