- Angkat dan tiriskan, biarkan agak dingin, lalu haluskan kasar (blender/chopper, jangan terlalu halus).

- Masukkan cumi asin, masak sebentar hingga bumbu meresap ke dalam cumi.

- Soak the dried baby squid briefly in hot or warm water.
- Fry the squid briefly, covered (so it doesn't jump out of the pan), until just cooked but not too dry; remove and drain.
- Boil the large green chilies, curly green chilies, green tomatoes, shallots, and garlic until cooked through (to remove the raw, grassy taste).
- Remove, drain, and let cool slightly, then coarsely grind (blender or chopper, not too fine).
- Fry the ground spice paste in the leftover oil from frying the squid, add the kaffir lime leaves, and cook over low heat until fragrant and cooked through.
- Season with salt, bouillon powder, sugar, and MSG; stir to combine.
- Add the dried squid and cook briefly until the seasoning is absorbed into the squid.
