Ingredients

Topping:

Steps

  1. Put 150 g of margarine into a bowl.
  2. Add 10 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk, then stir until the mixture is smooth and soft.
  3. Add 25 heaped tablespoons of cornstarch, then stir again until the dough comes together and can be shaped.
  4. Knead briefly by hand, add 1 teaspoon of pandan paste, then knead again until the colour is even.
  5. Take a little dough, roll it into a smooth ball, then shape it into an elongated caterpillar.
  6. Press lines onto the caterpillar's body with a ridged mould or a comb, then bend it into shape.
  7. Arrange the cookies on a tray lined with baking paper or brushed thinly with margarine.
  8. Stick a chocolate chip on each cookie for the eye.
  9. Bake at 170 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat for about 15 to 20 minutes until the bases are golden brown and the tops feel firm.
  10. Let the cookies cool completely before storing them in a jar.
