Ingredients

Steps

  1. Crush 100 g cornflakes, but not too finely so the texture is still noticeable, then set aside.
  2. Put 100 g powdered sugar and 250 g margarine into a bowl.
  3. Beat at medium speed for about 5 minutes until fluffy and pale.
  4. Add 1 egg and 1 tsp vanilla, then beat briefly until evenly combined.
  5. Sift 250 g low-protein wheat flour, 20 g milk powder, and 20 g cornstarch into the mixture.
  6. Stir the dough until evenly combined.
  7. Add the crushed cornflakes, then stir again until evenly combined.
  8. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes so it is easier to shape.
  9. Scoop the dough with a measuring spoon so the pieces are the same size, then roll them into balls.
  10. Place the balls spaced apart on a tray lined with baking paper.
  11. Flatten each one with a fork.
  12. Preheat the oven for about 10 minutes, then bake on the bottom rack at 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat for about 10 to 15 minutes until golden.
  13. Take the tray out of the oven and let the cookies cool and firm up before lifting them off the tray.
  14. Store the cookies in an airtight container so they keep longer.
