Chocolate Cappuccino Pudding Ingredients:

Steps

  1. Put the grass jelly powder and sugar into a pot, then stir them together first so the powder does not clump when the liquid goes in.
  2. Pour in the water, then stir until evenly combined.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it boils, then turn off the heat.
  4. Pour the mixture into a container, then leave it at room temperature until the jelly sets and firms up; do not chill it in the fridge.
  5. Shred the set grass jelly.
  6. Rinse a 20 x 20 cm tin with water so the pudding turns out more easily, then put the shredded grass jelly into the tin.
  7. Put the plain jelly powder, plain nutrijel powder, salt, and sugar into a pot, then stir until evenly combined.
  8. Pour in the liquid milk and vanilla, then stir until evenly combined.
  9. Cook over medium heat while stirring constantly until it boils, then turn off the heat.
  10. Set aside 700 ml of the mixture for making the chocolate pudding later.
  11. Add the cappuccino powder to the pot, then stir until evenly combined.
  12. While still hot, pour the cappuccino pudding into the tin then stir gently so the grass jelly is spread evenly.
  13. Leave it until the surface sets and forms a skin.
  14. Dissolve the cocoa powder in hot water, then stir until smooth.
  15. Reheat the reserved mixture over medium heat, then add the dissolved cocoa powder and the dark cooking chocolate cut into small pieces.
  16. Cook while stirring constantly until it boils and the chocolate has melted, then turn off the heat.
  17. Pour the chocolate mixture into the tin slowly and spread out so the cappuccino layer does not sink; if its surface has already firmed up, prick it with a fork first so the layers stick together.
  18. Leave it until the pudding sets and firms up, then chill it in the fridge for at least about four hours.
  19. Loosen the edges of the pudding from the tin, turn it out, then cut it as you like.
